Devin Booker’s busy summer continues as he is currently situated in New York City to partake in festivities in both sport and fashion. He attended the U.S. Open tennis Finals on Sunday and later showed up at the Barclay’s Center to cheer on the New York Liberty and visiting Las Vegas Aces, a potential WNBA Finals match-up.
Aside from from attending a number of New York Fashion Week events, Booker spent his Monday afternoon interacting with fans, once again appearing at random locations around the city to give out free pairs of Nike Book 1s to young athletes and fans. He posted up in SoHo, gifting a fan wearing his Team USA jersey, and pulled up at the West 4th courts, hallowed ground in the Big Apple’s street-ball circuit.
Afterwards, he linked with Hiroshi Fujiwara and Chris Union for a late afternoon meal, gifting both a pair of the Nike Book 1. While it’s unclear if any sort of collaboration was discussed, it’s fun to ponder a Fragment Design x Nike Book 1 and Union LA x Nike Book 1 given the silhouette’s proximity to classic Nike models of the 1980s.
The Nike Book 1 “Python”, the pair that Devin’s been giving away, will release on SNKRS this week.
