The Nike Air Max Plus Drift is the latest in a long like of Air Max Plus offshoots, and while some like the Vapormax Plus have been well received, the verdict is still out on whether the Drift will win over sneakerheads or falter. To its credit, an abundance of stock might just be the best thing the model has going for it at the moment. New colorways have arrived steadily since the model debuted earlier this year, the latest of which is a new “Sail/Black/Red” arrangement for women.
Like most colorways, this latest pair heightens focus on the outer TPU shell with “Sail” and black for contrast, paving way for a red-to-white gradient on the base layer underneath. The tongue and lining also come in black, while the Air cushioning units, midsole detailing, and tongue branding all deliver more sparse instances of red.
Currently, the Air Max Plus Drift can be purchased on sale via Nike, with several colorways being subject to markdowns. Some sneakerheads have praised the new model, but for many, the Drift’s standard $185 retail price might be too much to stomach, especially for a shoe that’s still relatively unestablished. Also consider the fact that the Drift has been releasing in new colorways at a torrid pace and it becomes clear why the model is often found collecting dust on shelves. In any case, Air Max Plus Drift fans surely aren’t complaining about below-retail prices and an abundance of styles.
The Air Max Plus Drift “Sail/Black/Red” is poised to arrive at nike.com and retailers in the near future for $185, as mentioned. See official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming product by the Swoosh and co.
