A first look at the Air Jordan 1 “Medium Olive” has just emerged via retailer images, where the pair is still being reported as a November release. For the uninitiated, this colorway was a central part of a wave of Jordan cancellations that kneecapped the Air Jordan 5 “Black Cat” and four other pairs on the Holiday slate. With reliable sources breaking and subsequently supporting that news, it remains more than likely that the Air Jordan 1 “Medium Olive” won’t hit shelves before the close of 2024 ( or at all, for that matter.)
Nonetheless, these product images confirm the arrangement we saw in mock-ups, pairing the outsole and suede overlays in the titular militaristic shade. Combined with jet black and pure white on the rest of the shoe, it essentially functions as a “Chicago” palette swap a la the Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy.”
Relatedly, that pair may be instructive as to why this “Medium Olive” do-up was pulled from the calendar. Though the OG-adjacent DNA would’ve led to a frenzy in the model’s pandemic heyday, it’s been met this year with a far more lukewarm response. Grey market prices are creeping below the $100 mark, and images of similar outlet markdowns are already circulating.
All the same, this canceled drop will surely still sting for the AJ1 devotees who are sticking by the model despite a downturn in brand heat. If, by some unexpected event, the Air Jordan 1 “Medium Olive” makes it to shelves, you’ll find info on our Jordan Release Dates page. Otherwise, catch the official product shot below, shared initially via DTLR’s launch calendar.
